Q. Do scented candles emit
dangerous amounts of toxic pollutants into the air?
A. A properly burning candle produces water vapor and
carbon dioxide, the same materials we exhale when we breathe.
Q. Are scented candles
triggers for asthma and allergies?
A. We haven’t had any problems related to asthma and
allergies forwarded to us as yet
Q.
How do I remove candlewax from clothing etc.?
A. To remove candelwax from clothing, carpet or
upholstery place tissue paper on top of, or below the affected area and use a
warm iron to absorb the wax.
Q What is the best way
to trim a wick?
A. The most popular ways are with a pair of scissors or
nail clippers. Turn the candle upside down after the candle has fully cooled.
Do you sell wholesale to the public?
A. No
Q. Do I have to pay a
sales tax?
A. Yes we have Goods and Services Tax (GST) which is
included in the cost of the candles.
Q. What is your
restocking fee for returned orders?
A. If the error or problem is ours we pay full costs.
However there is no refund if you change your mind after viewing the candle/s.
If there is any damage you will need to contact the shipper.
Q. If I want a custom
candle made up with a picture on it, how do I go about it?
A. You mail the photo to the address provided, and we
will put this on the candle for you. We take care of sizing of the photo to
fit the size of the candle/s.
Q. If I want to order
several candles and pay you by money order, do I have to mail you the money
order now or after I receive the candles?
A. We will have to receive your payment before we start the
production of your candles
Q. How long will it
take to get my candles?
A. This depends on the destination area. We are New
Zealand based and here in NZ our orders are filled and despatched within 4
working days. International orders, may take a little longer but we suggest
that if you require candles for special occasions, you give yourself ample
time to account for courier and postal international delivery. However if you
need a rush order please email us with your order intentions and the date that
you need the candles, we will then do our very best to meet your timeline. We
are committed to a timely service.
Q. Can you send me a
catalogue?
A. We do not have a catalogue that we send in the mail
but all our ordering forms, samples, etc are on the web site. All you need to
do is fill out the form and the information will automatically filter through
to us. We can make you very beautiful personalised candles as long as the
information is set out on our order form page. However, if you wish to let us
make the decision for you then that is fine as well.
Q. Do you close during
the last half of December?
A. We are operational all through the year; we would
inform you, our customer, with plenty of notice if there is going to be a time
when we close.
Q. Do you do
personalised coloured candles?
A. We usually dip the top and bottom of the candle with the
colour of your choice, and the wording and decals are placed in-between. This
method is more successful because if the candle is completely coloured the
wording fades.
Due to the constoversary about the toxic contents of gold
and silver dyes, we are unable to supply these colours.
WE ALSO WANT TO INFORM YOU THAT WE CANNOT DO ANY ALTERATIONS
AFTER THE FINAL DIPPING OF THE CANDLE. A COMPLETELY NEW CANDLE HAS TO BE MADE.
Q. How long do your
candles burn for?
A. Burning times for different size candles is included
so you can see for yourself how long your candle will burn.
Q. Do your candles come
gift-wrapped?
A. We finish our candles off by wrapping them in clear
cellophane, and a lovely tie of ribbon on top, if you wish additional or
different gift wrap then we would charge an extra $2.50 per pack
Q. What colour writing
can we get for our candles?
A. Currently we only do black writing
on candles but we are trying to source other colours and will inform you once
we can do this. Size of lettering will be adjusted according to the size of
the candle
